SETA CONSTITUTION

In July 1963, the visionary engineer Juan Antonio García Arroyo created the company with the aim of developing innovative solutions for water treatment.

MANUFACTURE OF THE FIRST LABORATORY EQUIPMENT

SETA started the production of ion exchange demineralisation equipment, capable of generating distilled water, satisfying the main needs of laboratories and clinics.

SETA MAKES ITS FIRST EXPORTS

The company began supplying small portable watermakers to international markets such as Nigeria and Mexico.

SETA SPECIALISES IN WATER RECYCLING IN THE SURFACE TREATMENT INDUSTRY.

SETA developed advanced technologies to promote water reuse in highly polluting industries, such as surface treatment, not only by reusing water but also by recovering high value-added metals.

SETA IS AWARDED THE LARGEST DRINKING WATER TREATMENT PROJECT IN ARGENTINA.

Award of the largest water purification project. This milestone marked a turning point in SETA’s trajectory, positioning it as a leader in the sector. The project consisted of the supply of 180 water treatment plants capable of providing drinking water to 50,000 inhabitants.

SETA JOINS SETA GROUP

The company expanded its scope, becoming part of a group of companies oriented to serve sectors such as dairy and international, with special emphasis on technical assistance services.

OPENING OF NEW FACILITIES

SETA opened a manufacturing centre in Madrid with a surface area of 4,000 m², strengthening its production capacity.

INTERNATIONAL EXPANSION

During this period, SETA established branches in countries such as Brazil, Mexico, Nicaragua, Honduras, Egypt, Sri Lanka and Indonesia. In addition, it was awarded the Internationalisation Prize by the Spanish Exporters Club.

RECOGNITION AS AN INNOVATIVE SME

SETA received this seal in recognition of its commitment to innovation and its continued dedication to R&D&I activities.

SETA PHT CREATION

In response to the relocation of manufacturing, SETA merged with PH TECHNOLOGY, adopting the new name SETA PHT.

FOUNDING OF THE SETA CHILE CHAPTER

A company specialised in the implementation of water purification projects using portable desalination plants was created.

SETA REVALIDATES ITS QUALITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL CERTIFICATION

As part of its commitment to continuous improvement, SETA renewed its management system certifications according to ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management) standards.
