SETAᴾᴴᵀ has signed a contract for the construction of the seawater desalination plant in Praia do Pacheco, in the region of Caucaia, Brazil.

This project consists of the design, manufacture and commissioning of a desalination plant built “plug & play” – turnkey system – with a drinking water treatment capacity of 1,200 m3/day.

The treatment line of this plant consists of:

  • Pre-chlorination dosing.
  • Silex filtration.
  • Blower.
  • Dosing of antiscalant.
  • Sodium bisulfite dosage.
  • Safety filtration of 5 microns.
  • High pressure pumping.
  • Reverse osmosis high pressure pumping and energy recovery.
  • Reverse osmosis desalination modules.
  • Automatic displacement system.
  • CIP chemical cleaning system.

The reverse osmosis system has the necessary equipment for energy recovery from system rejection, which allows desalinated water to be obtained with low energy consumption.

The project, which is currently being executed in accordance with Brazilian environmental requirements and regulations, is based on SETAᴾᴴᵀ’s innovative design and the latest desalination technology.
